Indian Cinema A Dirty Politics of Culture

Cinema a Most Powerful Medium  of Art , it has immense power ,  specially through Popular cinema   your message can be  spreaded  through our the country , though it can be good or bad , but you can reach the masses specially when you have a Star Like Aamir Khan , Salmaan Khan or Shahrukh Khan

Your message in the film will be discussed  , criticized , reviewed  , praised , awarded , which make the message remained in your time for a longer time   and ultimately play a role while you making a decision

You  believe it or not but  your unconscious mind   is totally  encompass your thought process  when you make a decision  or create a piece of art , article  or reflect upon the problem .

The message in PK is a very simple   perhaps at lower strata of intellectual level  as  most of the people  discuss  it at lease whenever they are having discussion among the friend circle  so idea was not powerful  only  the  narrative style  and the person does matter   and  it reflected in 700 crore .

So Indian cinema   as everybody knows is the game of money  .  so who possessed all that surplus money when  cinema making was started ???  feudal Class obviously

These feudal class have a long  long history of dominance  over the society , dominance over the culture 

Also dominance over  the culture spreader and maker ,  so everything in the society  was to be streamlined  through the culture  and old social order . 

So to maintain  that social order specially in the age of rapid social and political changes under which India was going , these feudal class used  Cinema as A Tool

Indian Popular Cinema has been designed  in  Such a way that first of all it is based on the Hindi Mythological Story Ramayana , i.e  A father had Four Son , all Four Sons obey their Parents and do anything for the happiness of their Parents unconditionally  . all brother among themselves love each  same way wife  is the only shadow of husband which never left alone her husband in the time of  Crises   Ramayan teaches  How to behave with  father   How a father Should Behave  with Sons ,  How a wife should be  helpful to her husband , what are the role of mother ,   a person should follow the ethics  even with the enemy

You can watch any Hindi  or language film   , you can find all the  Hindi film story based on the Ramayna and Geeta .

The purpose of the se type of story  was not to educate people ,purpose  is to maintain  the behavior structure or pattern  though there is no harm in  keeping respect  to each other and  in relationship  but  that idea teaches to keep blind faith which is not good for the health of developing a rational society . a rational society  is bound to develop bound to be modernized , rationality need debate , discussion , and  off course debate and discussion  changes the pattern of  thought process

Same way  caste  ,  in Indian society or perhaps in all society Surname reflect caste identity ,  by surname you can  identify a person that which caste this person belong to .  in any film  perhaps in none of the film you can find  character without surname  in most of the films .  although it is .very sad part of the Indian films   and no doubt caste surname are used deliberately  specially to praise the caste ...

Culture is another  but core part of any society or story because  story is  about a person , family or society and that single or individual unit is nurtured in  the particular cultural setting  and that cultural setting   also develop the  thought of  a person , in cinema rituals , rites , cultural code  which are  used symbolized  the  cultural identify   and due to glorifying these codes of culture

Business :  like many thing india is a largest producer of films also more then 800 films are produced

May be 200 flop films also can be seen on the screen  but the very purpose of the film is to earn the money  and to earn money there is only way that you  have to play  with the psyche of the audience

And audience want to release his tension through the films  want to do through the depiction of the character which he cant do in his real life , he want to see every thing  goody goody . and film is the  only thing through which he want to see an ideal society .
